Job Title:               Math Interventionist / Academic Tutor

Collaborates With: Site Administration, Site Staff

Position Summary:

The Math Interventionist/Academic Tutor will work in collaboration with the site leaders and Math classroom teachers to provide individualized Math instruction and remediation based on student progress.

Other Duties:

• Collaborate with the building principal to create a tutoring schedule.

• Meet with site administration and other teachers to determine remediation strategies and topics. 

• Provide data reports to site administrators and Math teachers regarding student progress.

• Meet with on-site consultants and district staff as needed. 

• Provide external resources and information for parents as needed to help meet student needs.

• Collaborate with the building principal as needed to make appropriate adjustments and changes within the tutoring program. 

Credentials and Qualifications:

• Preferred current OSDE Secondary Math certification

• Preferred tutoring experience

• Preferred experience working with middle school-aged students

• Strong communication skills

• Strong comfort level with technology
